| Mount Daly Northwest Ridge in SummerRanges: Rocky Mountains / Canadian Rockies / Continental Ranges / Park Ranges / Waputik Icefield An early morning scramble of Mt. Daly's Northwest Ridge. Paul Chephren Zizka and I woke up to mostly clear skies the day after Canada Day at 4 a.m. to climb the NW Ridge of Daly. After a few granola bars and some hot tea we were off for the summit by 4:20 a.m. We had scrambled 300 meters up the evening prior for some picture taking and decided the north summit was a good morning objective if we had some rope and crampons.<p>From the Scott Duncan hut, we walked towards the outhouse and then scrambled up loose rock and scree to gain the northwest ridge.
